About Us
Kennedy-King provided $8000 college scholarships to needy minority students transferring from a Contra Costa Community College to a four-year college such as UC or CSU. The purpose is to provide $2000 per semester as students complete their last two years of a bachelor's degree. We are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff or offices. Well over 90% of donations go directly to student scholarships. Donations of roughly $200,000 per year come almost completely from individuals and businesses in Contra Costa County.
