A New Leash on Life: Joybound’s Shelter to Service Open House
Joybound’s Shelter to Service program trains specially selected shelter dogs to become psychiatric service dogs and facility animals. Through the power of the human-animal bond, these smart, loving animals help people diagnosed with emotional and mental health conditions find a new *leash* on life — at no cost to the program participant.
This event offers a special opportunity to celebrate National Service Dog Month while learning about and supporting a program that directly benefits our local community. The event is open to mental health and wellness professionals and all community members interested in learning firsthand about the unique and powerful role shelter animals can play in mental and emotional health and wellness.
